Checking a product is genuine, prices, and finding a shop nearby.
- Check whether a product is genuineScan the barcode on the packet with the PoedApp app and you will see what the product really is, who makes it, and the price the manufacturer registered.
- A shop charged more than the printed priceScan the product to see the price the manufacturer registered, and report the shop from the same screen if it charged above it.
- Find a shop near you that has itSearch for what you want and PoedApp lists the nearest shops that actually have it in stock right now, with the distance and the price each is charging.
- Place an orderAdd what you want to the basket, choose whether to collect it or have it delivered, and pay the shop in cash when you receive it.
- Track or cancel your orderOpen the order to see where it has got to; you can cancel it yourself until the shop starts preparing it, and after that you need to telephone them.
- Report a shop or a productReport overcharging, a product you believe is fake, or something unsafe — with the shop, the product and the price you paid, so it can actually be looked into.
- Today's market pricesThe daily price of everyday goods — rice, oil, onions, eggs — so you know what a fair price is before you are standing in front of someone quoting one.
