Check whether a product is genuine
Scan the barcode on the packet with the PoedApp app and you will see what the product really is, who makes it, and the price the manufacturer registered.
- 1Open the PoedApp app and press Scan.
- 2Point the camera at the barcode on the packet.
- 3Read what comes back: the product name, the brand, the pack size and the registered maximum price.
A barcode that is not recognised is not proof of a fake — small producers may not be in the national catalogue yet. But a barcode that comes back as a completely different product is worth reporting.
