Know what to reorder
Set a reorder level on the things you must never run out of, and the Stock screen tells you what is below it before a customer does.
A reorder level is the quantity at which you would want to buy more — enough to cover the days it takes your supplier to deliver, plus a little.
- 1Open the product and set its reorder level.
- 2Open Stock and filter to what is below it.
- 3Order from that list, and record the delivery against the supplier when it arrives.
Set levels only on the items that matter — the twenty or thirty things customers come in specifically for. A reorder level on every product produces a list nobody reads.
