Handle an online order
Accept it, prepare it, and mark it handed over — the goods are reserved from the moment it arrives, and the sale is rung up when you accept.
- 1A new order appears with a notification. Open it and check you have everything.
- 2Press Confirm. The sale is rung up and the goods move from reserved to sold.
- 3Prepare it, then mark it ready — the customer is told.
- 4When they collect or it is delivered, mark it handed over and take the payment if they are paying on collection.
Accept or decline promptly. An order left sitting holds that stock out of your own shelf while a customer waits, and a customer who waits without an answer does not order again.
Orders are paid in cash on collection or on delivery. Online payment for orders exists in the software but is deliberately switched off until the arrangements behind it are settled.
