Do a stock count
Count what is actually on the shelf, enter it, and PoedApp shows you the difference against what it expected — then corrects the records in one step.
- 1Open Stock counts and press Start a count. You can count the whole shop or just one category.
- 2Walk the shelves with a phone or tablet, scanning each item and entering what you actually see.
- 3When you are done, review the differences — PoedApp shows expected against counted, item by item.
- 4Approve it. Stock is corrected to what you counted, and the differences are recorded.
Count a few categories each month rather than the whole shop once a year. A yearly count finds a large difference nobody can explain; a monthly one finds a small difference somebody still remembers the reason for.
Do not sell from a shelf while you are counting it. A sale rung up mid-count makes the difference look like theft when it was simply a customer.
